Africa Magic so far has done a marvellous job entertaining Africa. So far, they have given it all their best in terms of entertainment. There are so many soaps out there — the likes of Battleground, Halita, Tinsel, to mention but a few.
Ajoche being the subject of this article is one series everyone much watch. Revenge, war, duty, honor, love, lust and destiny are the order of the day, as the people of Ocholuje learn to survive after uncovering some bitter truths once buried in the past.
Ajoche is a thrilling new drama about a kingdom that goes on a bloody rampage after an innocent woman is murdered.
Ajoche in comparism to other series:
Do not misunderstand me, every Africa magic series has its own uniqueness — For example, forbidden has a cast of veterans, known faces and a smattering of newbies. Ajoche, mostly kids. Some not-too-popular actors and a handful of old-timers featured too. Forbidden features some notables like Norbert Young, Tina Mba, Theresa Edem Isemin and Kunle Remi, from whom one would have expected more in terms of role interpretation and fluidity.
Tinsel start out as very intersting but as time goes on, it became unecessarily way too long and the storyline at times just doesn't add up. I must admit, Tinsel is aa great series — the intrigues and suspense is just all time and every time high at the early stage and lasted for quite a long time.
And then there is Battleground. I must say, that series is amazing. sometimes i want to just pick it over Ajoche, but thats not gonna happen. This series is about the Bhadmus family's love for one another and how it was put to the test when an unfortunate tragedy leads to shocking secrets being exposed and power struggles within their ranks.
Ajoche, on the other hand, stars Femi Branch, Hilda Dokubo and Keira Hewatch as some of its more well-known cast members. but even the child actors like Nifemi Lawal who plays the character Alechenu did an amazing job. He so much engrossed himself in the character so much that you can get carried away, as though every act was in reality.
Why i would choose Ajoche over others:
Ajoche all day, every day. The lighting, the costumes, the storyline, the acting…simply amazing. William Benson as General Apeh is menacing and mesmerizing. Lota as Oofun is insidious, the kid actors are amazing considering the car crash that usually ensues when Naija kid actors feature in movies. Ajoche is different and a standout.
